A seasoned marketer, Piyush Kumar is the founder and CEO of Rooter, India’s biggest gaming & esports community platform offering voice to millions of fans across gaming. At the company, Piyush spearheads business growth and partnerships division and is also responsible for Company’s Sales and Revenue.

A Computer Graduate from Delhi University, Piyush spent close to 14 years in the Consumer Marketing Category and was associated with prominent brands like Dish TV and Swatch Group India, where he headed the marketing division for 5 years. After spending a significant period of his career in the marketing category, he took an entrepreneurial leap in 2016 with Rooter along with his business partner Dipesh Agarwal to build a strong community of sports fans around the world. But soon after the outbreak of COVID-19, he identified the changing needs and a major shift towards gaming streaming. Having already built a robust community of sports fans and sports influencers in India through Rooter, Piyush eventually forayed into game streaming in March 2020 to build one of the country’s biggest community of gamers as well.

Currently, his platform has more than 40 million gamers and esports players onboarded from India and Indian subcontinent market. Piyush now plans to make Rooter India’s Biggest Gaming Community with streamers, esports players and gamers on single platform, having already build biggest game streaming audience by an Indian platform.

Besides his entrepreneurial undertakings, Piyush is also an active philanthropist. He intends to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged girls in the country by sponsoring their education.

In his leisure time, Piyush loves to play sports, surf Twitter, and spend time with his family in Delhi.
